About The Little Spec

One day I was running my real estate business, spending weekends finding buyers and going to church, games and races. The next, I was sitting in a hospital room.

Almost overnight my life shifted. I became a full-time caretaker. Days that were once filled with work and family routines turned into doctor’s appointments, dialysis treatments, hospital rooms, and long nights wondering how everything had changed so quickly.

During that season I watched people I loved fight for their lives. It felt like watching them being lowered into a deep well and handing them a small rope, hoping and praying they had the strength to climb out.

Even with family and friends around me, I had never felt so alone.

When you are in the middle of life’s hardest moments, it can be difficult to understand how God is working. Sometimes all you can do is hold onto faith and trust that He is.

The Little Spec was created during that season.

I started it with the hope of offering something small for people who are in the thick of it — a reminder that they are seen and that they are not alone. Whether you feel like it or not God is always with you.
